Cutting the cost of biofouling in pipework
visit website
Cathelco seawater pipework anti-fouling systems eliminate blockages in engine cooling lines caused by barnacles and mussels.
A small control panel feeds an electric current to copper anodes mounted in seachests or strainers. The ions create an environment where barnacle and mussel larvae do not settle or grow.
Economical, easy to install and completely automatic in operation. Omni anodes have integral cathodes, enabling them to be fitted in plastic strainers, pipes and areas where a suitable cathode does not exist. Pico anodes can be fitted in 3” diameter pipes.
The system quickly pays for itself through reductions in pipework renewal and maintenance costs. Customers are supported by agents based in ports and marinas worldwide.
Cathelco also supply hull corrosion protection systems to safeguard steel and aluminium hulled yachts against corrosion. The systems have many advantages in comparison with sacrificial anodes which need to be replaced at regular intervals
